Osaka Nishi-Yodogawa area is one of the most polluted area in Japan. Many victims were emerged out of this area. In April 1978, the victims filed a lawsuit. They accused 10 enterprises which had caused air pollution of emitting pollutants. They also brought a lawsuit against the national government and the Hanshin Expressway Public Corporation because of their pollution responsibility denial. In March 1991, the victims won the case with the enterprises and made a reparation for the damage. Four years later, the victims succeeded in establishing the reconciliation with the enterprises. On July 5th 1995, finally, they won the historical victory over a case with the national government and the Public Corporation as well. They admitted their fault. We are going to visit this area where air pollution was occurred.
